Great speeches shouldn’t depend on being a great writer
Most people give two or three big speeches in their whole life, and at least one of them is at a wedding. The stakes are high, the deadline is fixed, and nothing in normal life prepares you for it. Everyone in that room already knows what a good speech sounds like. They just can’t write one either.

Almost nobody who asks for help here is short of things to say about the person. They are short of a shape to put it in, and they have no way of knowing whether it works until they are already standing up. That is the actual problem, and it is what this site is built to solve.
You bring what only you have: the stories, the history, the things you would struggle to say out loud. The craft is the other part. Structure, rhythm, jokes that land, and a toast that ends the thing properly.
Who writes these

I’m James Maxwell. I write for a living, and I have been writing wedding speeches for other people since 2016. That is 10 years of them.
Writing to be read and writing to be said out loud are two different jobs. Sentences that look fine on a page fall over in a room. A joke needs a run-up. A list of thank-yous needs a rhythm or it turns into a register being called. Wedding speeches are the hardest version of that, because the audience is full of people who love you and the day belongs to somebody else.
How we work, including where AI fits
Three services, three different answers to “who actually wrote this”. We would rather over-explain it than have you wonder:
The instant speech (£49.99) is written by AI. Your answers become a structured brief, and the speech is generated from your own material, following the same speech structures and writing rules used when one is written here by hand. Nobody reads it before you do. That is how it can be ready in minutes at this price, and it is the honest trade you are making.
Checked by James (£125) is that same AI draft, then I go through it before it reaches you. Read out loud, timing fixed, anything that will land badly in that particular room taken out, and your names and dates checked against what you told me. It is a check rather than a rewrite, and for most people that is the bit that was missing.
Written by James (£500) is written from scratch by me, with no AI at any stage, after a call of about 45 minutes. It is the only one of the three where that is true, and I would rather say so plainly than blur the line between them.
What we never do: claim a speech was “100% human-written with no AI” when AI wrote it, publish your stories, reuse your material in anyone else’s speech, or put a quote on this site that nobody actually said.
Your speech and your answers stay private, delivered on an unguessable link, never published, never used as examples. The samples on the examples page are built from fictional questionnaires and labelled as such.
Which one you probably want
Most people should buy the first one. If you have the stories and ten minutes, you will have a speech tonight and the dread will go.
Buy the second if you want to know that somebody who does this for a living has been over it before you commit to saying it in front of ninety people. The third exists for the speeches where that is still not enough, and it is priced so that you have to really want it.
