Wedding Speech Writers(“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: hello@weddingspeechwriters.co.uk.
What we collect
Questionnaire answers, the names, stories and details you give us to write your speech. These often include personal information about you and third parties (the couple, family members). We use them solely to produce your speech.
Contact details, your name and email address, used to deliver your speech and send order-related emails. We do not send marketing email without separate consent.
Payment information, handled entirely by Stripe. Card details never touch our servers; we receive only order metadata (amount, payment status, a payment reference).
Usage analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (see the Cookie Policy).
How your speech is produced
The three services differ in where your answers go, so they are set out separately.
The instant speech (£49.99) and the free preview: your questionnaire answers are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to write your speech. Anthropic processes this data as our processor and does not use it to train models.
Checked by a professional (£125): the same as above, and then one person here reads your answers and the draft in order to edit it.
Written for you (£500): your answers and anything you tell us on the call are read only by the person writing your speech. Nothing from this service is sent to an AI provider at any point.
Legal bases
Performance of a contract (producing and delivering your speech); legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement); consent (analytics cookies, ad-attribution cookies).
Who we share data with
Stripe (payments), Supabase (secure database hosting), Anthropic (speech generation), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (website hosting), and Google (analytics, only with your cookie consent). Each acts under contractual data-protection terms. We never sell your data and never publish your speech or stories.
Retention
Orders, questionnaire answers and speeches are retained so you can return to your private speech link, and for our legal record-keeping. Email us to have your questionnaire answers and speech deleted at any time; order records required for tax purposes are kept for 6 years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@weddingspeechwriters.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
